Merican Made!

God bless America

Recently, this past Sunday,
my home town had our annual Veterans Day Parade.
Out of all the festivities that happen in my town,
such as the fair, football games, and many more,
this parade happens to be my favorite.
My mom works at the nearby Veterans center
so I grew up visiting there a lot
and I even went to daycare there.
Now as a 16 year old, I volunteer there
frequently and I have so much respect for them.
I think as days go by we forget how
blessed we are to live in the country we live in.
This week I challenge everyone to thank someone
you know who has served in the army.
***God bless America***

My amazing dance team and I
being patriotic before heading out
into the parade.
Two of my favorite people ever.
My team mates/family.

The most pretty little girl
inside and out,
you could ever meet!
Thank you for always being willing to take cute
BFF pictures with me whenever, being an amazing friend/person
and being my mini me.

National FFA convention

I've been a member of FFA since my freshman year, along with other
clubs. But I can say FFA is my favorite.
Yesterday, Thursday October, 30th, I headed up to Louisville along with
about 40 other members of my chapter.
We attended seminars, ate out, shopped, and went to a Danielle Bradbery
and a Scotty McCreery concert.
We left around 7:30 yesterday morning and returned today
at around 2 in the morning.
It was one of the best experiences of my life,
and I'm blessed/proud to say out of the 52,886 members registered
at National convention, I was lucky enough to be one of them.

Blue and Gold everywhere!

The most entergetic little freshman I have ever met.
So blessed that I met this little guy
yesterday!

Best Advice

My freshman year, I experienced so many things.  I also experienced one of my first heartbreaks. I remember talking about it to someone one day, and they started explaining to me how everyone goes through a heartbreak, but it's just a part of life.  One thing this girl told me was that being heart broken is kind of like a loose tooth.  Whenever its there, it hurts.  It causes you constant pain, but after you get it pulled, the pain is over.  Sometimes you run your tounge over where that tooth was and feel emptiness there, well its the same thing with a broken heart.  When you're holding on to someone you gotta let go, and you continue to hold on to it, it just causes you more and more pain.  After you finally let it go, you'll feel relief.  But every now and then, you'll miss it and feel an emptiness where that one person use to be.  But after awhile, you'll move on from it, and God will give you something even better.

Here are a few of my favorite quotes over this topic:

University of Kentucky

Family Weekend

About two weekends ago, my parents and I traveled up to UK
for my sister, Erin's, sorority's family weekend.
While we were up there we went to the  UK vs. LSU football game
and the next day we attended her sorority's brunch.

The flag presented at the beginning of the game
in honor of the veterans and those who
serve our country.
{Common Wealth Stadium}

I was totally fan-girling considering
I'm a dancer myself, but UK's
amazing dance team.

The shirt I wore to support
BBN.
Purchased from:
{Wild Cat Warehouse}

The fire works shot off for every
touchdown UK received...
We obviously won.

D.E.C.A

My freshman year I joined a club called D.E.C.A.
It's a business and marketing club, and throughout the past 3 years, I've had so many fun expierences with it.
Recently, we went to a Fall conference in Murray, KY.
The picture above is my gorg friend Scarlett and I casually sipping on some Starbucks.

The start of something new.

All my life I've wanted to blog. The past sixteen years of my life to be exact.
After weeks of trying to figure this site out, I have learned how to finally.
This is a new beginning, and I'm ready.
